First Time Attendees
These are the most common questions we hear from people planning to attend for the first time. If your question is not answered here, get in touch and weʼll do our best to help.
Do I need to buy a ticket?
No, the event is not ticketed ahead of time. You should just turn up on the day.
Do I need my own rope?
We recommend attendees bring their own rope, but if you are still just dipping your toe in the water, we do have a limited amount of rope we can loan you on the day. There are also safety shears available.
I donʼt have a partner. Can I still attend?
There are usually a few riggers and bunnies who attend solo and (if youʼre comfortable with it) we may be able to find someone to pair you with. There are no guarantees, however, so even if we canʼt find you a partner there are many ties you can perform on yourself.
What should I wear?
This is primarily an educational and social event, so you should wear what is most comfortable for you to tie or be tied in. Commonly, people attend wearing yoga pants, leggings, t-shirts, etc. You neednʼt attend in fetwear; usual club dress rules do not apply.
How much experience do you need?
Our regular attendees range from absolute beginners, to 50+ year veterans. Every event we run our popular Induction and Beginnersʼ classes, which will take you through the basics from scratch. There are always plenty of newbies, so you wonʼt be alone.
For the more experienced, we hold participant-led workshops, where you can ask questions and get one-on-one time our more experienced riggers.
